I love Rene Exume's work. He is one of the most talented of the first generation of Haitian masters.
His work is under appreciated only because he never worked with the open public art galleries.
Otherwise, he woudl certainly be equal or bigger to Wilson Bigaud today.
I fee that his work should be at the Museum of Madern Art (NYC), as is Gourgue's, Philome Obin's and other top Haitian artists.
